Who is winning, and the move

Vapi, Ringg AI and Gnani.ai each moved in October 2026. Vapi opened OpenAI's GPT-Live speech model in beta to every customer on 2 October, and charges a $0.05-a-minute hosting fee with model costs billed on top and $5 in free credit. Ringg AI published an insurance cost guide on 13 October tied to the IRDAI consultation that closes for feedback on 25 October, and prices voice agents at Rs 6 per connected minute with speech, language model, telephony and basic analytics bundled in. Gnani.ai launched Timbre v3.0 on 14 October, a voice model covering ten Indian languages with first audio in under 200 milliseconds.

The nearest competitors

Gnani.ai's pricing address sends visitors to a book-a-demo page that shows no prices, plans or free credits. Ringg's insurance cost guide, for all its focus on cost, gives no cost-per-call figure; it advises comparing cost per resolved conversation and leaves the number to the reader.

The opening

Our read is that the opening is cost per resolved conversation: Ringg's own insurance guide tells buyers to compare vendors on it, yet none of Vapi, Ringg AI, Gnani.ai or Retell prints it on its homepage or pricing page. The proof around it exists: Ringg reports more than 7 million connected calls a month and 85 percent first-call resolution at Practo, Retell's homepage cites, in its FAQ, an outside benchmark of 414 calls that measures workflow accuracy, and Gnani's language ranking and its latency figure are claims it makes about itself. MyOperator's cost comparison prints per-resolution figures, but modelled ones, so a newcomer that publishes one measured on a stated sample of real calls in named Indian languages, over a stated period, answers the buyer's question.
