Why it exists

Made for the hour your skin turns shiny.

In a humid city, skin can feel clean at breakfast and look oily by lunch. Rich creams sit on top of it, and many serums leave a tacky film that the heat only makes worse.

Rain Serum is our answer to that weather. It is a pale gold serum with the feel of water. It sinks in within a minute, dries to a soft, clean finish and stays comfortable from the morning commute to the walk home.

One bottle, made to do one job well.

What is inside

Four ingredients, each with a reason to be there.

  • Niacinamide

    5%

Vitamin B3. It helps keep shine in check through the day and, with steady use, evens out the look of skin tone.

  • Rice ferment

    Filtrate

Fermented rice water, long used in Indian and East Asian skincare, for a soft, hydrated feel with no weight.

  • Licorice root

    Extract

It calms the look of redness and brings light back to dull patches.

  • Panthenol

    Vitamin B5

It helps skin hold on to water, so it feels comfortable rather than tight.

Left out on purpose: added fragrance, essential oils, drying alcohol and silicones.

How to use

Three drops, twice a day.

  1. On damp skin

After you wash your face, while it is still a little damp, put three drops in your palm.

  2. Press, do not rub

Press the serum into your face and neck with flat hands. It sinks in within about a minute.

  3. Then the rest

In the morning, follow with sunscreen. At night, use it on its own or under a light moisturiser.

New to niacinamide? Use it once a day for the first week, then morning and night.

Questions

Before you buy.

Who is Rain Serum for?

Oily and combination skin, and anyone whose skin turns shiny in humid weather. If your skin is very dry, follow it with a richer moisturiser.

Can I use it every day?

Yes, morning and night. If niacinamide is new to you, use it once a day for the first week.

Will it sit well under sunscreen and makeup?

Yes. Give it about a minute to sink in, then put on sunscreen and makeup as usual.

Does it have a scent?

There is no added fragrance. Any faint scent comes from the rice ferment.

Can I use it alongside a treatment from my dermatologist?

Ask your dermatologist before adding anything new to a routine they have set for you.
