A newcomer in UX and product-design studios for AI products: three things worth knowing

Researched the week of 20 October 2026

Who is winning, and the move

Three studios are pushing the category with lists they wrote themselves, and each puts itself first or second. Onething Design published "Top 10 AI Design Agencies in 2026" on its own blog on 7 July, updated it on 22 July, and put itself first. Lazarev published a list of 12 AI conversational UX agencies on 16 August with itself second, stating its own minimum project at $50,000. Eleken ranks itself first of seven in a guide updated on 9 October; its AI design workflow post, updated on 10 August, claims about an hour of expert time against 5 to 10 days, and its pricing page lists plans from $4,599 a month with a three-day free trial.

The nearest competitors

Two moves from your nearest competitors stand out. Punchcut published "The 11 Best UX Design Agencies for AI Products in the US for 2026" on 6 October and listed itself first, one of at least four such lists on its blog. Fuzzy Math sells its AI work in small steps, with a homepage offer of three low-commitment, one-week engagements that include AI in Design Training and a Strategy Workshop.

The opening

Our read is that the opening lies in measurement, not in results. Lazarev reports 85,000 new users in VTnews.ai's first month after launch and Onething reports percentage gains for TraqCheck over three months, yet neither says how a figure was counted, and every TraqCheck figure carries the same caption, an increase in downloads, even the one labelled Retainers. A newcomer can win by publishing one named AI product's result with its baseline, origin and period, so a buyer can check it rather than take it on trust.
